Industrial Water Management: Waterproofing and protection of concrete structures in harsh industrial environments

Water is an active agent in the corrosion and degradation of concrete and also a carrier of chemicals, such as acids, that make industrial environments more aggressive.

Large amounts of water are used in industrial plants for manufacturing, processing, washing, diluting, cooling, or transporting goods. Although water used to be considered an unlimited and free resource, the perception of its value has changed; today, scarcity, drought and a greater social and environmental conscience mean that it must be more carefully used and managed.

At the same time, water is an active agent in the corrosion and degradation of concrete and metals, not only by itself but also as a carrier of other chemicals, such as acids, that make industrial environments more aggressive.

This webinar will demonstrate the need to protect concrete and describe the different types of damage that it can suffer in industrial plants. We will see how water is used in certain food and beverage industries and how wastewater from these processes is treated. Suitable technologies for concrete protection will be recommended alongside some examples of projects carried out using our products.

The webinar is a live recording from 25.11. 2021 and is free to watch.
